Elysian Shadows Revolution: Episode 2 Part 7

Elysian Shadows Revolution: Episode 2 Part 7 Tube. Duration : 9.77 Mins.

Game Development Diary Part 1 - www.youtube.com Part 2 - www.youtube.com Part 3 - www.youtube.com Part 4 - www.youtube.com Part 5 - www.youtube.com Part 6 - www.youtube.com elysianshadows.com So it has been 8 long months since any of you have either seen or heard from us on Youtube. Despite popular belief, this is not due to the fact that we have given up on Elysian Shadows or were ceasing development. The truth is that we have been working our asses off for 8 months, rewriting an entire engine, and doing more work in the time period than the entire Adventures in Game Development Series combined. Elysian Shadows Revolution 1 was our experiment at trying to introduce more than just the software aspect of the game development process to the videos. In episode 2, we try to build on this idea and incorporate the entire development process. At the same time, though, we have made a conscious effort to return to our roots established in the Adventures in Game Development Series. ESRev2 has been in the making for 8 months, and tries to appeal to all audiences. Please watch with an open mind. The engine has been rebuilt from scratch. It has officially reached the point of functionality that the previous one had and then much more. New features displayed in the video include more powerful Lua scripting possibilities and rigid body dynamics. Hopefully future episodes will be focusing more on game design aspects of programming such as the battle system. LibGyro--our multiplatform ...

Classic Game Room HD - VIRTUA FIGHTER 5 for PS3 review

Classic Game Room HD - VIRTUA FIGHTER 5 for PS3 review Tube. Duration : 13.28 Mins.

"Just because the graphics are better doesn't mean the game is better" CGRHD reviews Virtua Fighter 5 for the Playstation 3 video game console. This arcade style fighting game has punches, kicks and complex combinations just like most other 3D style fighting games like Soul Caliber and DOA2 (Dead or Alive series). In fact this has a lot in common with most fighting games like Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and Kung Fu. Sega made this game, and Sega always does a great job with goofy music and characters. VF5 is a fun game on the PS3 that will keep you busy for hours. Fight against numerous opponents who use different martial arts and kickboxing fighting styles, like the Ultimate Fighting Championship or Pro Wrestling... sort of. They have cage matches and hulking steroid driven-mad kind of bad guys, and chicks who flip and spin and kick just like in the movies. Some movie nods might be Enter the 36th Chamber of Shaolin, Kickboxing, Bloodsport, Shoulin Dolemite, Hard to Kill and Supercop (just to name a few) Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes. Classic Game Room was the original classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999-2000, now on DVD. The HD series is reviewing PS3, Genesis, NES, Atari and Xbox 360. Xbox Live Arcade XBLA.

Sonic Adventure DLC - AT&T/ODCM Event #1

Sonic Adventure DLC - AT&T/ODCM Event #1 Video Clips. Duration : 3.12 Mins.

When Sonic Adventure was released on the Dreamcast, Sega regularly uploaded content onto the in-game site that would unlock already programmed, yet hidden, data. AT&T and Official Dreamcast Magazine teamed up to release three time attack contests. One involved blazing through Speed Highway as Sonic, the next involving Knuckles collecting treasures in the Mystic Ruins and the final one involving Tails surfing through ten specialy marked gates in Sand Hill. This was available only to the US. Prizes were awarded to the quickest scores. A total of fifteen winners would be awarded 1-Year long subscriptions to Official Dreamcast Magazine, nineteen winners would be awarded a Dreamcast game, and five would receive an AT&T Premium Package for a whole year free. It is likely the grand prize received all three. This contest ran from October 29, 1999 to November 19, 1999. This video focuses on Sonic going through Speed Highway. No, I'm not looking to go at any record speed. I just wanted to show all of the changes made to the stage. :P Since all of the downloadable features and sites are inaccessible, I figured it'd be nice to rummage through all of my VMUs that had the DLC stored away on them to show those who missed out on said events. Enjoy. :)

Great Price Sega for

Sega Dreamcast Console Best

Sega Dreamcast Console Overview

The Dreamcast system is, in a word, awesome. Fire up Soul Calibur, and instantly you'll appreciate that the graphics and gameplay are even better than in the arcade version. And Sonic Adventure, with its light-speed gameplay, is sure to wow even the most jaded gamer.

It's amazing that such a small machine (it's about the size of your mouse pad) can deliver such incredible performance. Chalk it up to superior engineering. Dreamcast's only downside is that it comes with only one controller and a demo disc. In order to truly take advantage of Dreamcast's capabilities, we recommend outfitting the controller with a Jump Pack and a Visual Memory Unit. Getting one or more extra controllers is also a good idea, because some of the best Dreamcast games support up to four players at once.

Why it's so cool:

  • Ultramodern components: Custom-made video, audio, and processor technology blows away the Nintendo 64 and PlayStation and puts Dreamcast in the same league as PS2 and XBox.
  • Integrated modem: In another video-game first, Dreamcast comes with a 56K modem. Use your regular Internet service provider and the separately sold keyboard to access e-mail, shopping, and the World Wide Web. Not only can you upload high scores, participate in chat discussions, and download updates and enhancements for your games, but, through a membership to the SegaNet Internet service provider, you can play Quake III Arena, NFL 2K1, and other games against Dreamcast owners over the Internet.
  • The Visual Memory Unit (VMU): More than just a memory card, the VMU is a miniature portable game system that fits inside a controller--so its LCD screen is easily seen by you but hidden from your opponent.
  • All-in-one entertainment: It plays games. It plays audio CDs. It connects to the Internet and lets you browse the Web or e-mail friends. Our note to the cost-conscious: If you have a Dreamcast system, you just don't need a separate CD player or a separate computer. Dreamcast does it all, and does it well.

They were no longer known as games. They were now dreams. Dreams that came true. 1999 the world is living in it's prime and we got Disney Afternoon some Ecto Coolers and Boku. Adult juice box. Skating around the town with my new Jnco's falling down. I rip a power slide to stop in front of Funcoland game shop. Whoa, stop, stop. Wait guys stop. What is that little grey box? There must be a 2 ow! Sega I know I can count on you to follow through. Please tell me oow! Do you know if dreams come true? Because if they do the Dreamcast 2 is true. Sonic Adventure Overview

After several years in video game retirement, Sonic the Hedgehog returns as the star of a graphically stunning 3-D adventure game that blows away every other game in the genre. Sonic is joined by five of his friends in a massive quest that spans over 50 game levels filled with remarkable visuals and a pulsating soundtrack. Taking full advantage of the unprecedented processing power of the Dreamcast, Sega's development crew, Sonic Team, has designed several gravity-defying game levels that will keep gamers hooked.

Our favorite level is Windy Valley, which requires you to survive the stormy perils of a tremendous tornado. This tyrant of nature chases you relentlessly before ultimately sucking you into the air and up through its eye. During the chase, the tornado manages to tear up just about everything on the screen. This dizzying visual spectacle moves so fast that you will literally hold on to the game controller for dear life.

Assuming you survive the tornado, there are several more challenging areas to conquer, including a level that requires you to snowboard directly in the path of a fast-approaching avalanche. During the Emerald Coast level, you will race across a precarious dock as a killer whale attacks from below, destroying the wood planks underneath your feet while you attempt to outrun the crazed creature.

We also liked the numerous mini-games scattered throughout this title. When you least expect it, Sonic Adventure tosses in some old-fashioned arcade action, such as pinball or bumper car racing. In between, you can raise virtual pets, known in the game as "Chao." These characters, which are saved using the optional Visual Memory Unit (VMU), can be combined with other Chao characters exchanged between friends or downloaded via the Internet.

Gamers looking to show off the strong processing power of the 128-bit Dreamcast will definitely want to pick up this title. Simply put, Sonic Adventure's graphics surpass those of any other game currently available on any home video game system. Let the Sonic assault begin. --Brett Atwood

Pros:

  • Strong replay value
  • Stunning graphics
  • Bonus virtual pet game
  • Six different game characters

Cons:

  • May be too fast-moving for some players
  • Awkward camera angles can inhibit gameplay in some areas

Sonic Adventure DX - Boss Run - Part 1 - Sonic's Bosses

Sonic Adventure DX - Boss Run - Part 1 - Sonic's Bosses Video Clips. Duration : 9.50 Mins.

Someone asked whether I could boss run this game. I said, "unlikely"... and.. funny how things turn out eh? I forgot there was a PC version. Not the best of ports, but i'll manage, i've beaten this game several times, with a few game overs on the really glitchy sections aside (mostly the EGG carrier levels) I can just about manage. The first few of Sonic's bosses. The bosses themselves don't take very long, the cutscenes do. And I can't bring myself to deprive you of such award winning dialouge, so there you go. I actually had to cut the intro cutscene due to time, but I'm sure you can all act out that scene in your head. Part 2... coming.. sometime next week. I've recorded the next couple of bosses but I'd really like to get these vid's at Nine minutes if possible... my schedual is a bit on the busy side next week, so we'll see. EDIT: Ignore what the video says about repeated boss fights. I AM recording them.

Wacky Races Best

Rate This Product :

Wacky Races Overview

Wacky Races is a cross between South Park Rally and Mario 64, and stars classic Hanna-Barbera cartoon characters. While this kart racing game doesn't really bring anything new to the racing genre, it does bring hours of lighthearted fun.

All the members of the motley crew from the cartoons are here, including Penelope Pitstop, Dick Dastardly, Muttley--even the Slag Brothers. They've all come with their trademark vehicles, from the Slag Brothers' rock-solid, relentless Boulder Mobile to Peter Perfect's turbocharged, streamlined Turbo Terrific. To add the always-present fighting element, the cars come with their own individual features to help you get around the numerous courses.

A title ideal for keeping younger kids busy while not appearing totally alien to the rest of us, this game boils down to a kid-friendly version of South Park Rally. The colorful cartoon graphics give you the feeling that you're in the cartoon itself. --Mike Fehlauer

Resident Evil - Unreleased Games

Resident Evil - Unreleased Games Video Clips. Duration : 10.92 Mins.

This is footage of Unreleased Resident Evil Games that didn't make the cut and where scrapped or revamped Resident evil 2 (1.5) beta Resident Evil 2 began development in 1996 shortly after the original game and was originally scheduled for a March 1997 release. However, as the game was approaching its release date, the developers were dissatisfied with the resulting product. Rather than releasing a game they were unhappy with, the developers took the risk of developing the game again from scratch. This scrapped version of the game was later dubbed Resident Evil 1.5 by Capcom. This prototype version of the game starred Leon S. Kennedy from the finished game and Elza Walker, a prototype of Claire Redfield. Like Claire, Elza was a motorcyclist and college student, with the only difference being her appearance and the fact that Elza had no ties to any established character from the previous game. Other supporting characters from the released game also appeared in Resident Evil 1.5. For example, Marvin Branagh, a minor character who gets killed off early in Resident Evil 2 played a major role in the prototype, helping Leon and Ada escape. Also, a scenario was planned where Annette Birkin was supposed to be infected with the same G-cells her husband had been. The settings of the game were also significantly changed, with the police station in the original prototype having a more contemporary design. The station included shutters, which the player would use to defend the station ...
